Val is a super smart girl who just isn't smart enough for her family. Her parents want her to be more like her older, smarter, 'better' sister, Antalya. This is really starting to frustrate Val because she doesn't know what to do in order to be treated as herself and not as her sisters shadow.

Val has a small tendancy to run away from her problems, and in this case she ends up further from home then she's ever been. Thrown into a position of power and major responsibility, Val must save the kingdom of Elverion from destruction before she gets destroyed herself!

He's is just a local thief trying to make a living in the large Kingdom of Elverion. He's rather clumsy, especially for his proffesion, but lady luck has smiled down on him time and time again, so far. He's also very self-protective and one of the biggest cowards that ever was; he would run away from any fight he couldn't easily win. He's selfish and perverted, but has a good heart.

Shintaro is one of the top soldiers for the kingdom of Elverion. He is hardworking, dedicated, and fiercely loyal to his kingdom. His skill exceeds any other soldier in his age group, and he is quickly on his way to becoming Elverion's 1st in command. His job is his life, and he has no tolerance for incompetence, and foolishness. Shintaro has spent most of his military life attempting to capture the lucky blue-haired thief, and it's for this reason that Shintaro hates him with the fire of a thousand suns! Shintaro also has a slight problem with women in positions of authority; he's rather old-fashioned at heart, but is willing to do anything for Elverion, even put aside his deepest beliefs and passions.

She's an overachiever when it comes to being happy, and is always trying to see all her friends as happy as herself. Her best friend, Val, is constantly grumpy when it comes to school or her family, so she is always trying to find some way to encourage Val or keep her mind off of things.She has known Val since they were 5, and she would never want anything bad to happen to her best friend.

He's made his fortune as a buisness man and believes in being and having the absolute best. He intends his daughters to eventually run his company, and therefore they must be the best they can be. He has always pushed them to get top grades in everything, and wont accpet anything under 100%. He pushes Valarindi harder then her sister, because he believes she can do better then even she believes. He's all work and no play.

The beautiful and superficial trophy wife of the rich buisnessman. She has given birth to only two daughters and refuses to become pregnant again (it interfers with her social life!). She was not cut out for motherhood, and although she loves her daughters, she is more of a friend then a mother figure. Knowing her shortcomings in the maternal department, She has opted for the best in nannys and daycare for her children. It's no secret that she favours her oldest daughter for her keen fashion tips and shopping trips, but she loves Valarindi just as much, just not as obviously.

Antalya is Valarindi's perfect sister. She is the apple of her parents eye, and can do no wrong in their opinion. Always the top of her class, Antalya excels at everything she does.
